"Is it not sucking yet?" asks Margarethe Hinterlang, peering in the box in the corner of the massive cowshed at Dottenfelder Hof. There, on the straw, we see "Andorra", the cow, with her calf, born just two hours ago. Still somewhat awkward on its feet, the young calf is stumbling across the box and sucking on its mother's throat – but not where it's supposed to suck! Margarethe Hinterlang watches them a bit longer before opening the gate and jumping into the box below.
